The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events of every year. It draws people from all around the nation and even from the far-reaching ends of our very earth. Many estimate the average monetary price of attending the Super Bowl this year starts at 7,000 to 14,000 dollars per person, for standard seating, and private suites starting at one million dollars. So what exactly does the Super Bowl have to do with Missing and Exploited Children? Everything.

Americans are passionate about their sport teams, their beer, and their country, yet most Americans still do not realize or simply refuse to see what is happening around them when it comes to the illegal sex trafficking trade of women and children. The sex trafficking business booms during major sporting events and the Super Bowl is one of the biggest.

This Super Bowl is the first one hosted by two states, New York and New Jersey. It will also be the first super bowl played outdoors in cold weather at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. In the weeks leading up to this weekend, multiple news sources are reporting a huge increase in the ads being placed on Craigslist, Back page and other sites, which provide for free places to list women and children for sex.

These children are enslaved or held against their own free will. Young boys and girls, forced into grown up acts of sex. Some children are only ten or eleven years of age. Children sold, repeatedly just this weekend alone, forced into having sex with grown men. Young girls who grow up only knowing life as a child sex slave.

There are so many places that an ordinary person who is traveling or living in the New York and New Jersey area could encounter a child sex slave. In a hotel, a motel, a plane, a train, a party, or anywhere that they can be violated and used. Look around you when you are out at a local fast food place, restaurant, laundry mate, grocery store, hotel or party.

Look for children who are sad, with lifeless or hopeless eyes who meet your glance reluctantly. Are they interacting with their adult companion? Do they look healthy, well nourished, happy or frightened? Does something seem out of place? If in doubt please err against the side of caution. Make a note, or take a picture and report your suspicions to the police. Please do not let the opportunity to slip by you. Leaving you later to wonder what if...
