Missing Children Alabama

Missing Children Alabama
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) show 23 missing children cases in Alabama. These cases include 18 females and 5 males. Their ages span decades but the reality is that these are very real children with families.

One boy, Daniel Barter, has been missing from Perdido Bay, Alabama, since June 18, 1959. He has been missing for 53 years. Daniel Barter is 58 years old now. He is the same age as my husband, born exactly 3 months later to the day on December 12, 1954. Information on the FBI website states “Daniel was camping with his family, siblings, and relatives.” According to the information provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, “he was last seen playing near the banks of Perdido Bay, wearing only shorts.” His photograph has been age-progressed to show what he may look like today.

Next, is a little girl, whose identity remains a mystery, she is known only as Jane Opelika Doe 2012. Her NCMEC poster includes a picture of what she may look like based on a facial reconstruction completed by an FBI forensic artist. She is 4 to 7 years old, had been deceased from 8 months to two years before being found. Her skeletal remains were discovered in a trailer park in Opelika, Alabama, on January 28, 2012. Her only identifiable physical feature is her black hair. Her eye color, weight and height are undetermined. The FBI lists Jane Opelika Doe’s cause of death as a possible homicide. Sadly, she may have been malnourished or abused in her short life.
